Easy clean 4000 Litre Pond UVC Pressure Filter (7 Watt UVC) (Jebao Model CF 10)

These Pressure Filters are suitable for fish pond upto 4000 litres (approx.880gallons), with an intergrated UVC and UVC working viewing port. It has an easy clean backwash function, with cleaning required indicator, which enables you to keep your pond  clear all year round.

 

Easy clean 4000 Litre Pond UVC Pressure Filter Operating (Model CF 10) Instructions 

 Backwashing Instructions

 The Easy clean 4000 Litre UVC should be backwashed on a regular basis.

  • Switch off your pond pump and the 4000 UVC.
  • Insert a discharge hose (Preferably using the same size hose as the input hoses fitted to the pressure filter.
  • Push down on the grey handle (marked "CLEAN") whilst pulling upwards on the grey handle (marked "WORK"). It may be that the handles are stiff when first used - they will loosen in due course.
  • Switch on your pond pump. The pressure filter will be backwashed and the dirty water will be discharged to waste.
  • When the water runs clean, turn off the pond pump and push/pull the grey handles to their original working position.Switch on the pressure filter.

 

Filter Media Cleaning Instructions

  • Switch off your pond pump and the easy clean 4000 UVC.
  • Loosen the five retainer clips located on the lid of the pressure filter.
  • Remove the top piece of the pressure filter.
  • Remove and wash out the three filter foams and base unit using your own pond water or rain water. (Using tap water is NOT recommended as the chlorine in tap water kills the bacteria within the filter. It will take two weeks for sufficient bacteria to grow to support the fish in your pond.)
  • Replace the filter foams, check that the neoprene sealing ring (Vaseline if dry) is securely located in the groove within the base unit, replace the top piece and refix the retaining clips.
  • Switch on the pump and pressure filter.
UVC Lamp Changing Instructions
  • Switch off your pond pump and the 4000 UVC.
  • Loosen the five retainer clips located on the lid of the pressure filter.
  • Remove the top piece of the pressure filter.
  • Loosen and remove the three screws located on the underside of the top lid.
  • Remove the UVC lamp guard unit - this simply pulls out.
  • Remove and clean the inner quartz sleeve (pull the sleeve whilst slightly rotating the sleeve.) Ensure that the rubber protective piece is still attached to the quartz sleeve.
  • Remove the UVC lamp and remove the rubber protective piece.
  • Replace the 7 watt UVC bulb and attach the rubber protective piece. (Do not touch the new UVC lamp with your fingers as this may impair the operation of the UV unit). The UVC lamp holder may be loose this is OK.
  • Push the quartz sleeve and protective rubber piece back into position .Relocate the UVC guard unit and refix the three screws - do not overtighten.Check that the neoprene sealing ring is securely located in the groove within the base unit, replace the top piece and refix the retaining clips.
  • It may be necessary to push down firmly on the top piece of the lid to ensure that the neoprene sealing ring is fully located into its groove. If, on start up, water apppears around the rim of the pressure filter it is probable that the neoprene sealing ring has not been correctly located. Open the unit and refit.
  • Switch on the pump and pressure filter.
  • Check the viewing window to ensure that the new UVC lamp is working.
