Hozelock Trinamic Plus 20000 Pond Filter Kit

The Hozelock Trinamic range of filters are high performance filters for goldfish and koi ponds up to 20000 litres / 5000 gallons. The Hozelock Trinamic filters are avaliable on their own or as a Trinamic Plus kit which includes a Hozelock Titan pond pump and the Hozelock Vorton UVC.

The Trinamic filter has a three stage filtration process including the moving bed Kaldnes K3 biomedia.

Stage 1: Moving-bed biological filtration for healthy fish. The water enters the filter at high velocity and spins unique Kaldnes K3 biomedia chaotically around the biomodule. A venturi introduces oxygen to the water. The benefical bacteria growing on the inside and outside of the K3 biomedia thrive in an oxygen-rich environment and breakdown harmful soluble pollutants at a very efficent rate. There is a sludge drain in the K3 module for easy maintenance.

Stage 2: Fine foam for crystal clear water. water passes evenly through a perforated plate and into a series of fine foams, which remove solid matter. An indicator alerts you when the foams require cleaning. Once cleaned away, any remaining sludge from the foams can be flushed away via a sludge drain at the end of the filter.

Stage 3: Denitrifying bacteria provide an important second biological process. Below the foam, water passes through denitrfying bacteria which grow on Cypripak biomedia in a dark still environment. Clean, healthy water is then returned into the pond.
