Sand Filter pumps can me a low cost option of swimming pool filtration whilst also being easy to maintain. The sand only need replacing around every 5 years.
The Krystal Clear sand filter from intex has a powerfull motor to give strong flow rates. The 16" sand filter is best suited to the Intex Easy Set, Metal Frame and Ultra Frames swimming pool upto 21,000 gallons.
The Intex sand filter is design to be a upgrade from the cartridge filter systems on intex swimming pools.

Benifits of a sand filter

Sand filters are simple to use and easy to operate filters that perform far better than standard cartridge filters. The 6 way valve on the Intex sand filter make maintenance easy giving options to backwash, rinse, recirculate, drain, filter and close system. There is also a built in 24 hour timer to enable you to set automatic filtration times for the pool to save on daliy maintenance. The powerfull pump also has a leaf strainer basket allowing you to use the sand filter as a pool vacuum.
