It is recommended that the Carbon Sponge is replaced every 4 weeks. Maintaining your Juwel filter is made easy with the use of the filter baskets.
Why Use Carbon?
Active Carbon helps clean all impurities in water by absorbing them which prevents the impurities having an affect on the essential filter bacteria.
Why Change the Carbon Sponge?
After a period of time the Compact Carbon foam can release the impurities it collects back into the water, therefore it is recommended to change your carbon filter every 4 weeks
