Why Use Carbon?
Active Carbon helps clean all impurities in water by absorbing them which prevents the impurities having an affect on the essential filter bacteria.
Why Change the Carbon Sponge?
After a period of time the Jumbo Carbon foam can release the impurities it collects back into the water, therefore it is recommended to change your carbon filter every 4 weeks
