The Koi breeding season is weather dependent but normally occurs between April and July.
Only one mature female is required and a minimum of two mature males.
Place the brushes just below the water level, one above the other at the edge of the pond. This encourages the fish to spawn during which eggs will stick to the brushes. Brushes can then be removed and placed into filtered water of the same temperature.
Fry will hatch after 3-6 days and should be kept separate until they are large enough to be reintroduced to the pond.
