Lavender & Barley Straw Pond Pad

The lanvender and barley straw pad has been designed to decompose quickly to offer faster results to help control algae and blanketweed. The reasearch carried out at the Centre For Aquatic Plant Management shows that lavender stalks mixed with barley straw have been more effective than barley straw alone.

The barley straw and lavender pond pad can be secured in place just under water level by using the pond pad floater.

How To Use The Lavender & Barley Straw Pond Pad

Remove as much blanket weed as possible from the pond
One Pond Pad is suitable for upto 3000 litres of water, use half a pad for ponds less than 900 litres and a quarter for ponds under 450 litres.
Place pad where there is a good circulation of water, the pad can be anchored just under the water level using the Pond Pad Floater
Allow 2-3 weeks for the pads to become fully active
Add additional pad after 4 months and another after a further 4 months.
Pad can be left in place to rot away completely
