Black Knight 20" x 4" Fish Pond Filter Brush

Made from high quality hydrotech polypropylene that has been twisted on to two stainless steel wires. A loop is then added at the top of the brush to allow for easy hanging and a rubber cover is added to the bottom of the brush for safety.
Black Knight filter brushes can be used as mechanical filtration to remove solids and as biological filtration. They are lightweight, easy to clean and do not need replacing. We recommend that when using Black Knight brushes in a filter system, they are overlaped by upto 50mm(2"). Overlapping increases the brushes biological and mechanical efficency.
The Black Knight 20" x 4" filter brushes can be placed in the filter vertically or horizontally and below are example layouts.

- Single interlocked which is single rows of interlocked brushes. This is a simple method that is easy to maintain yet will create great particle removal. Ideal set up for a pre filter chamber.

- Double interlock vertical flow, is a set up with rows of brushes that are all interlocked together to create high mechanical and biological filtration.

- Horizontal combination, this set up is best for gravity fed system and acts as a settlement chamber. created from single rows of vertical interlocked brushes followed by interlocked horizontal brushes.
