Mix Instant Ocean salt with dechlorinated water, stir vigorously to mix salt and water. NEVER mix salt in an aquarium containing animals, in new aquariums you should transfer animals to the aquarium after salt is completely mixed, aerated & specific gravity is adjusted correctly. To maintain water quality it is recommended that a 25% water change is carried out on a monthly basis.
