External aquarium systems contain much more filter media than internal filters and provide much more efficient filtration. Water is drawn into the filter via an inlet tube and strainer and returned to the aquarium via a Spray bar. The inlet even included the option to skim water from the top of the tank or the bottom. All pipework is included.
Maintenance is made easier with the non drip removable taps fitted to the top of the filter. Once shut off they are easily removed allowing you to take the filter canister away for maintenance and cleaning.
Having your filter outside of the aquarium removes any unsightly internal filters, not only cresting more space but allowing you to aqua-scape without obstruction.
This model comes with an optional UV. UV light will help kill micro-organisms that can cause disease, green water algae and sterilize the water. The UV is built into the canister of the filter
