The Arcadia Ultra Clear fish pond 4 watt UV lamp available from Discount Leisure Products will help maintain a clear fish pond by destroying single celled algae. Exposure to the high levels of UVC emitted by this 4 watt UV bulb will kill the algae cells leaving the filter system to collect and break the algae down by bacterial action.
Over time the output of the UV lamp degrades and will need replacing. Discount Leisure Products recommends replacing your UV lamp once per year around March - April time when the weather is starting to warm.
The Arcadia Ultra Clear UVC 4 Watt UV fish pond UV bulb is a universal lamp designed to fit many other makes and brands of UV clarifier that require a 4 watt bulb, these include Hozelock, Blagdon, Oase, Fish Mate and many others.
