The coloured water filters out light which disrupts photosynthesis, leaving submerged algae and weeds unable to grow.
Dosage
Each pack has a different concentration of powder and the rate is as follows
The single 50g soluble sachet treats up between 1500 and 3000 litres of water
The single 200g soluble sachet treats up to 6000 litres of water
These treatment cannot be overdosed and if more is added it tends to just darken the colour effect on the water and potentially prolong its lasting effect on the water.
There is no timescale provided to how long the colour lasts, many factors including rain dilution and the sunlight breaking down the product will affect how long it lasts.
